They aren’t angsty. They aren’t a group of rebellious young things. They don’t play screaming tones or roller coaster beats. But they are a young group of rockers. They are a happy, lazy, dreamy group of goofy people. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet GLASS ONION. To be brief, they are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Having been born in a family where music was just as indispensable as oxygen or food, the inclination towards the arts for Joel was quite natural. Furthermore, having studied in Patha Bhavan, Kolkata for twelve years, the nurturing was just about perfect for him to enter the realm of music. Originally trained in Western Classical guitar (Grade-8), which he believes to have paved the way for his outlook towards music and his acceptance of the diverse musical genres in the future. Though performing from a very early age, it was only after his Graduation, (Eng Hons.) from Maulana Azad College, Kolkata that he realized his true calling. However he decided not to be confined to just guitar playing but broaden the field and in no time he was writing songs, singing, composing, arranging them and also took a keen interest into the technicalities of music production.

Pseudonym is a band from Kolkata, India, with an outright inclination towards progressive/alternative music, with a special focus on instrumentals. Pseudonym was formed in September 2006 by five music enthusiasts: Damayanti Chakravarty (vocals), Sompratim Das (vocals, guitars), Devapriya Sinha (vocals, guitars), Roheet Mukherjee (bass) and Rajan Bhaumik (drums). This band is aiming to set a different note in the world of contemporary music with a totally fresh perspective, and is ready to face the challenges that will inevitably come its way. The name was unanimously agreed upon as the band relates to the philosophy of creating new dimensions in music with some bigger truths hidden inside. Thus the name Pseudonym does gel flamboyantly with the band itself.
