Juan Carlos Gomez was born in the province of Puerto Plata, in Dominican Republic, in the year 1986. From his very childhood, he dreamt of being an artist, a star. As every day passed by, his passion for music grew, especially for reggaeton. When Juan was 11 years old, he demonstrated his talent for the first time, up north in Dominican Republic, for a small local crowd. People were overwhelmed with joy after his performance, and for them, he was already a star and became a local sensation.

In 2003, Juan, along with his family decided to come to America in search of a better future. Though he was following his dream, he never forgot his roots, his tradition and beliefs. During this time, he met Danny Beat, a producer from New York City. Danny decided to change the name of Juan Carlos to JCO. The young but confident JCO started working with Danny Beat creating several songs based on his surroundings and everyday life. With time, JCO learnt more about music and its associated intricacies. It is then he decided to write and compose and hence came the song “Tarde Para Perdonar” or "Late to Forgive".
Currently, JCO is working with several producers, creating hip hop, R & B and music from other genres. JCO is grateful to all his fans, without whose support he would not have made it this big. He would also like to thank the almighty for the talent with which he has blessed JCO.
