Pseudonym is a band from Kolkata, India, with an outright inclination towards progressive/alternative music, with a special focus on instrumentals. Pseudonym was formed in September 2006 by five music enthusiasts:
Damayanti Chakravarty (vocals),
Sompratim Das (vocals, guitars),
Devapriya Sinha (vocals, guitars),
Roheet Mukherjee (bass) and
Rajan Bhaumik (drums). This band is aiming to set a different note in the world of contemporary music with a totally fresh perspective, and is ready to face the challenges that will inevitably come its way. The name was unanimously agreed upon as the band relates to the philosophy of creating new dimensions in music with some bigger truths hidden inside. Thus the name Pseudonym does gel flamboyantly with the band itself.
